You can install luxury vinyl anywhere
One of the things that makes LVF so appealing is the fact that it can be installed in any room of your home, above or below grade. In fact, being able to place it in basements is a high priority for many homeowners who have hardwood flooring in other areas of their home.
This is a material that so closely mimics not only solid wood, but also ceramic and porcelain tile and natural stone. However, it doesn’t have to be maintained in the same way, it’s much easier to clean, and you don’t have to worry about damage in the way you would if your were working with natural materials.

Luxury vinyl is easy to clean
In most cases, all you’ll need to do is sweep and follow up with a damp mop and your floors will look just like new. However, in cases where you need something more, we will refer you to the manufacturer’s directions. In any case, you should never use cleaners that are abrasive in nature, or any cleaners that promise a wax-like shine. It’s also a good idea to stay away from paste wax and other chemical polishes.
Durability of luxury vinyl
LVF has great durability, especially for everyday wear and tear. It even has enough scratch resistance to stand up to pet traffic. However, we do suggest that you keep their nails trimmed on a regular basis. You’ll also find that it’s great at resisting fading, scuffs, and stains. To add to the protection of your new floors, make sure to use area rugs or runners between outside and areas with luxury vinyl flooring.
